Dominique R. Benson is the founder of Engaged Minds Academy, a passionate educator and academic coach with over a decade of experience in science education and student support. A proud Houston-based professional, Dominique has taught biology at the college level and worked with learners of all ages—from elementary students to adult learners.
Her vision for Engaged Minds Academy was born from a desire to create a flexible, virtual learning environment where students could receive personalized, expert tutoring without the stress of rigid schedules or outdated methods. Dominique believes in meeting students where they are, empowering them with the tools, strategies, and confidence they need to thrive.
When she’s not leading her team or mentoring students, Dominique is developing innovative prep resources, writing, and contributing to community-focused education efforts. She is committed to transforming tutoring into a relationship-centered experience that delivers results.
